When kids have a strong foundation in phonological awareness they can hear the individual sounds in words, and understand that words are made of phonemes or sounds and these sounds are made of letters. Often, kids who struggle to learn to read do not have a solid foundation in phonological awareness, that is they have difficulty hearing and manipulating sounds. In this course, I will show you how to help your child improve their phonological awareness so that they can finally get over their reading hurdles.

However, many children struggle with rhyming because they don't yet have a strong understanding of how words work.
